Try "rainbow writing"....take a box of crayons and trace over each letter with blue, green yellow.. to make a rainbow. Your child's hand is developing muscle memory for the formation of each letter. Then trace over the letters with a gluestick and add sand or glitter - have your child close their eyes and trace the letters with their fingers - again consolidating how to form each letter.
