In Excel Maths Early Skills: Learning Numbers to 5, your child will explore the numbers 1 to 5 in a range of activities. Your child will learn to: - Count from 1 to 5 - Sort things into groups - Draw the numbers 1 to 5 - Match up numbers - Write down numbers 1 to 5.

Excel Maths Early Skills: First Shapes and Measurement introduces your child to a range of different shapes and ways of measuring them. Your child will learn to: - Compare two or more objects by size, shape or position - Look at two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects.

After your child has learned the numbers 1 to 5, the next step is to learn to count and recognise numbers 6 to 10. In Excel Maths Early Skills: Learning Numbers to 10, your child will: - Revise numbers 1 to 5 - Identify and draw patterns and groups of particular numbers - Learn to write the numbers 6 to 10.

Once your child has learned to count up to 10 and can recognise and write numbers 1 to 10, they can take the next step - adding and subtracting. In Excel Maths Early Skills: Add and Take Away to 10, your child will: - Revise counting and writing numbers 1 to 10 - Add and subtract objects up to a total of 10.

Excel Maths Early Skills; Second Shapes and Measurement will further your child’s knowledge of a range of different shapes and give them practice in measuring shapes and pictures in different ways. Book 3 in this series, First Shapes and Measurement, introduced your child to these concepts, but this book will develop your child’s skills in: - Comparing two or more objects by different features - Drawing a range of different shapes and objects - Drawing positions (e.g. ‘on top’, ‘in’, ‘under’) - Putting events into the correct order - Finding paths through mazes.

Once your child has learned to count and recognise numbers to 10, the next step is to learn numbers to 20. In Excel Maths Early Skills: Learning Numbers to 10, your child will: - Revise counting and writing numbers 1 to 9 - Practise counting, writing and making groups of numbers to 20 - Learn to match up the correct numerals with various groups of objects.

Once your child has learned to count and recognise numbers to 20 (see Book 7), and has learned to add and take away to 10 (see Book 5), they can then learn to focus on adding and subtracting with totals of up to 20. In Excel Maths Early Skills: Add and Take Away to 20, your child will: - revise adding and subtracting to 10. - learn to add and subtract numbers to 20. - become more confident with using numbers to 20.

Excel Maths Early Skills: Learning Numbers to 99 focuses on introducing your child to the numbers 10–99. In this book, your child will: - Revise numbers 1–20 - Learn to count and write numbers up to 99 - Learn to break up groups of objects into groups of 10, then count the ‘extras’ to 99.

Once your child has learned to add and subtract numbers, the next step is to understand the basic multiplication and division. In Excel Maths Early Skills: Multiply and Divide, your child will learn to: - Recognise and draw equal groups of objects - Share objects into equal groups - Count up in groups of 2, 5 and 10.
